Ramon Figueras Alsius
He Studied trumpet with Àlex Baiget at the Conservatori de Terrassa, where he was awarded the Honours Prize in 2007. That same year, he began his higher education at ESMUC with Mireia Farrés and Musical Education at the UAB. In 2012, he was admitted to the Norges musikkhøgskole to pursue a Master's degree in performance with Jonas Haltia and Anthony Plog.
During his time in Oslo, he played with the main orchestras in Norway and in 2014 he won the co-principal trumpet position at the Wermland Opera (Sweden), where he worked until he returned to Catalunya in the summer of 2017, the year he won the Special Prize and the Honourable Mention at the 1° Concorso Internazionale di Tromba "Girolamo Fantini" (Rome).
Ramon Figueras Alsius is considered a multifaceted artist and is currently enjoying a very active professional period: he teaches, collaborates with most of Catalunya's orchestras, and works as a session musician and producer. He combines all this with the Doctor Prats tour, the management of La Cabina, a space for musical creation and production, and distance learning at Berklee, where he is studying for an "Advanced Music Production Certificate".
